What is the GST Portal?

GST portal is a pan-India government website for GST compliance. The GST government website or portal is available at https://www.gst.gov.in/. The government portal for GST is a website where a taxpayer may perform all GST compliance actions both before and after logging in. They can use the GST login interface to do things like register for GST, file returns, pay taxes, apply for refunds, and so on, as outlined in the following sections.

Understanding the GST E-way Bill System

The E-Way bill system is intended for persons or businesses registered with GST or enrolled as transporters. It allows them to electronically generate a waybill, which is a document that must be carried by the person responsible for moving goods. This technique is used when the value of the commodities being transported exceeds Rs. 50,000, whether for supply-related purposes, non-supply purposes, or as a result of receiving products from an unregistered individual.

All e-way invoices are generated using the e-way bill system, which assigns each invoice a unique e-way bill number. The transporter, recipient, and supplier utilise this e-way bill to move products from the origin to the destination within the e-way bill's validity term. Before GST, way bills were generated in each state; however, with the advent of GST, e-way bills are now common across all states or union territories.
